- Web Media: The Web Media stream provides a pathway to a career in the expanding field of web-based media and communications, from website creation to online community management. The stream emphasises social media and networking, and units involve practical components together with core concepts, giving you the necessary understanding and skills you need in the socially productive and culturally rich online environment.
- Marketing:?This stream introduces you to the key skills and knowledge needed for successful marketing. It is a dynamic area that involves helping businesses differentiate themselves from their competitors to gain a competitive edge. It is about understanding who businesses should be targeting, then working out how they can persuade their target audience to buy their product or service. The Marketing stream will provide you with an understanding of how marketing works, consumer behaviour and will give you the chance to explore specific aspects of marketing, including:
- international marketing
- internet marketing
- anticipation of demands for products, services and ideas
- analysis behind the behaviour of competitors and customers
- product design
- promotion
- pricing
- distribution strategies.
Admission criteria
Qualifications
- Successful completion of the Diploma of Arts and Creative Industries.
- A recognised diploma in related field will be assessed for entry into the second year.
- A local polytechnic diploma in related field will be assessed for entry into the third year.
